Public transport strikes from 1 March

The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) and Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors (JHL) have started a strike by bus drivers. The strike will begin on Wednesday 1 March at 3am and end on Friday 10 March at 3am.

The bus drivers’ strike will significantly affect bus services from 1 March to 10 March 2023. Metro, tram and commuter trains will mostly run as usual.

We ask the guardians to follow the strike announcements, and to take the situation into account when the students come to the classes. Education will be provided in accordance with the normal schedules in the Espoo School of Art. If a pupil has to stay at home due to a lack of transport services, we ask the pupil or their guardian to notify the teacher.
